Pressing Depressing.
Some days, you inevitably use a press release you put together for the next show at your comedy club as a blog post; well, today is one of those days: read it and weep (as long as you also factor in booking tickets...)

March sees two instalments of Doggett & Ephgrave’s
Hitchin comedy club Mostly Comedy at The Sun Hotel: while 30th
March’s performance of PHILL JUPITUS’ tour
show JUPLICITY is officially sold
out, returns can potentially be snapped up on the night; tickets for 22nd
March with Red Dwarf’s NORMAN LOVETT, however, are still
available at time of going to press.
NORMAN is a veteran of the stand-up circuit. He
played the original Comedy Store on countless occasions - once supporting The
Clash, which he sees as a personal career highlight. Television credits include
his BBC2 Sitcom 'I, Lovett' and Paramount Comedy's 'Asylum',
though he obviously most well-known for portraying the ship's computer Holly in
five series of 'Red Dwarf' (including his recent reappearance
in the twelfth series last year).
He has received his fair share of broadsheet praise, with The Guardian describing his act as 'exquisite stand-up comedy', and The Times saying 'Lovett turns aimlessness into an art'. In 2013, he performed alongside DOGGETT & EPHGRAVE in a reading of their sitcom pilot ‘Nick & Joe’ (that also featured Michael Barrymore) at London’s Soho Theatre. He could recently be heard in the BBC Radio 4 Comedy 'To Hull and Back' with Lucy Beamont and Maureen Lipman.

COLLIER joins Lovett on the bill. Jenny launched her stand-up career in
2010; since then, she’s performed in Hong Kong, Philippines,
Singapore, Switzerland and Australia, where she won the Percy Award for most
seats sold at her venue - over 1900 tickets - during the Adelaide
Fringe. She’s written for BBC Radio 4’s ‘The News Quiz’, Huffington
Post and Glamour Magazine, and in
2016 she performed her debut hour at the Edinburgh Fringe to critical acclaim.
The gig is emceed by the “polished,
natural comedians” (Camden Fringe Voyeur) DOGGETT & EPHGRAVE.
