If I ever meet the person who wrote this BBC News headline, I’d like to shake them by the hand; for that day’s work, they deserve a barrel full of biscuits.
What I love is they’ve tried to be subtle about it, as when you click on the actual article, the headline is different. So, while whoever wrote it couldn’t miss the opportunity to paraphrase the title of Star Trek II, they at the very least tried to make the reference seem coincidental; well, whoever it was, they can’t fool me.
It was unlikely to pass me by anyway, as I reference Star Trek II with alarming regularity; in fact, it’s a bit of a running joke. Absolutely any film sequel that comes into conversation will be awarded the subtitle ‘The Wrath of Khan’ by me; either that or ‘Back in the Habit’
At least this put a lighter stamp on the ridiculous ignorance of Donald Trump’s attitude to Sadiq Khan of late, both in relation to the former's attempted ban on Muslims entering the States or his taking Khan’s statement in the aftermath of the recent London terror attacks completely out of context. It’s like Trump actually wants to incite hatred, while hoping nobody will have the foresight to check the facts; let’s face it: when it comes to the events of the last few weeks, we don’t need his ill-informed critique.
